New "Ball Repair" Method by Pat Richard
Why repair? Properly cared for greens are vital to the longevity of your golf course's greens. A correctly repaired ball mark will cause the grass to regenerate itself within a couple of days. If ball marks are not fixed within a certain time frame the grass will die. Therefore an unrepaired ball mark takes weeks to heal.

Pryor Creek recommends the repair method listed in the steps below:
• Discard the loose piece of turf.
• Use a ball mark repair tool to fix the mark.
• Insert the tool into the outer edge of the mark with the prongs angles at 45 degree.
• Gently work the turf up and back into place by pushing toward the
center of the hole.
• Pat down the ball mark with a putter until the mark is smooth.
