PWGA Rules - Pryor Creek Golf
- USGA rules govern all play with exception to Local Rules contained herein. Keep your copy of the USGA Rule Book on hand.
- Winter Rule applies to March and April only of the season. The rule is that you may move your ball one scorecard length to improve your lie - in the fairway only. You cannot move the ball closer to the hole.
- The regular play shall have at least six (6) members in competition or it will not be considered a legal play day.
- Regular/Monthly meetings shall have at least eight (8) members in attendance.
- If greens are aerated on Play Day, there will be no more than 2 putts when on the putting surface.
- All putts must be holed out in all individual competition play. During scrambles or fun days, putt's under 18" may be conceded.
- Help other players in your group to track the ball's flight in order to find the ball and reduce time required to find it.
- Each player is responsible for ensuring her score is correct before it is submitted to the Sports Chairperson or the Handicap Committee. Keep your score independently of the master score card to compare at the end of the round.
- Handicaps shall be kept according to USGA rules.
- You must post/turn in all scores to the Handicap Committee for rounds played during an active season, regardless of the course you are playing.
- To be eligible to play in the Association's annual tournament day, a member shall have played in at least ten (10) regular play day competitions in the current year.
- To be eligible to post a birdie score to the club Birdie Tree, the birdie must be accomplished on PCGC on any day AND accompanied by another member of the PWGA.
- If you carry your bag or use a pull cart, continue toward the next tee side of the green before putting the ball. If riding in a cart, make sure it is positioned to the side or rear of the green.
- After completion of a hole, continue to the next tee box before posting your score to your card.
- If your group fails to keep pace and the hole ahead of you is open, any groups following behind should be invited through at an appropriate place.
- Use safety sense and observe course etiquette at all times. Be ready to play when it's your turn.
- Proper golf attire must be worn. No short shorts, sports bra's, swim wear, or half tops. Look to the LPGA players as a guide.
- If a golfer hits into the "fountain grass" at the 150 yard markers, move it away one club length no closer to the hole.
- Failure to comply with any of the Local Rules will result in action deemed appropriate by the Executive Committee.
